Young people wanted to join the Smarter than Smoking team - WA ONLY

The Smarter than Smoking Project is seeking tomorrow’s young leaders in years 7, 8 and 9 with visionary ideas, good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to join the Smarter than Smoking Youth Committee & Youth Network.

Smarter than Smoking Youth Committee - Metro Students

The Youth Committee meets in Perth once a term to talk about issues relating to tobacco and young people. Members will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities that may include designing merchandise and providing feedback on Project resources and website games. Committee members have the opportunity to gain unique experience through their involvement and contribution to the Project. 

Smarter than Smoking Youth Network - Regional Students

Young people living in regional areas are invited to join the Smarter than Smoking Youth Network. Members of the Youth Network will be contacted from time to time via email to contribute their ideas and feedback about issues relating to tobacco and young people and the Project’s strategies. This may include contributing to a blog, designing merchandise, providing feedback on Project resources, website games and online activities.

Encourage Students to get Involved!

We need your help to promote the Youth Committee and Youth Network to your students and encourage young people to get involved.

Click here to download a nomination form to be completed by nominated students and returned to Smarter than Smoking by Friday 24 September 2010.  Once nominees have been reviewed, we will contact successful applicants and seek parental permission.
